In 2024, the Fiorino Mud will take place on the weekend of September 21st and 22nd at the hu Norcenni Girasole Village, located in Figline Valdarno.

Fiorino Mud 400 km: Starts on September 21st, with a route that traverses Valdarno, Chianti Aretino, reaching as far as Maremma, and then returns to Figline on September 22nd.

Fiorino Mud 70 km: Will be held on September 21st and will include a timed section, ideal for those seeking a shorter but still thrilling experience.

Fiorino Mud 100 km: This route will take place on September 22nd and, like the Fiorino Mud 70 km, will offer another timed section on a different course.

It will be possible to register for the combined Fiorino Mud 70 + 100 and ride the entire weekend!

The event will not only be a competition but also a celebration with food, live music, and activities for everyone, creating a festive atmosphere for athletes and their companions.

The most suitable bicycle is the GRAVEL bike, but you can also use MTB, CYCLOCROSS, or E-BIKE. If you don’t own one of these models, you can rent one at the TREK STORE in Florence, so you can also participate in the Fiorino Mud.

At the start, a check will be performed on the equipment that each biker must carry with them. Failure to comply will result in exclusion from the monitoring lists and denial of provided services.

  1. Smartphone
  2. External battery (at least 10,000mAh)
  3. Energy bars (approximately 8)
  4. Energy gels (approximately 5)
  5. Front lights (long-lasting and at least 300 lumens)
  6. Rear lights (long-lasting)
  7. Bikepacking bag (necessary to carry the equipment)
  8. Clothing suitable for daytime thermal excursions from 8°C to 30°C
  9. Kit for repairing at least 3 flat tires

The Fiorino Mud is a “single-stage” event, meaning that there are no pre-set stops, and each participant can stop and eat wherever they like along the route. It is advisable to study the route carefully; on the .gpx file that we will send you on September 16, you will also find a list of functioning public water fountains, bars, and rest stops to give you a general idea of the possible stops you can make.
The Fiorino Mud 400 route passes through sparsely populated areas, and skipping a rest stop or a water fountain could put you in a difficult situation. We are not in Kyrgyzstan or Morocco, but cycling 50-60 km on gravel paths without a snack or some water can jeopardize your adventure. On the 400, about halfway through the route, you will be welcomed by PuntAla Camp & Resort. Whether you need a short break to catch your breath or a few hours to fully recover, PuntAla Camp & Resort offers the perfect environment to recharge and continue your adventure.

For all participants, it is MANDATORY to present a medical certificate suitable for cycling practice, in accordance with DM 18/02/1982 and/or DM 26/04/2013, issued by a Sports Medical Center or a qualified doctor, to the organization through the ENDU portal during registration. The medical certificate must be valid until after the end of the event. If the medical certificate does not comply, it will be rejected and canceled, and the registrant will need to provide a compliant one. The medical certificate must be specific for CYCLING. We cannot accept medical certificates issued for other sports disciplines such as triathlon, athletics, etc. Those who do not comply with this requirement will not be considered officially registered and will not be entitled to a refund of the registration fee.
